Have you been trying to increase the exposure to academic concepts while your students play?
Do you have a few students who just are not in writing, making marks or using art supplies and writing materials?
Do you have students who LOVE to use their fine motor skills through tracing, using vehicles, building and stacking?
If you answered yes to 1 or all of those questions, I have a resource for you!
I have created Tracing Roads, to encourage students to explore those academic concepts such as; Letters, Numbers or Shapes, while they are playing, or at least in a play based way.
Grab all 3 Resources by bundling and save!
- Upper-Case Letters - Lower-Case to come soon!
- Numbers (1-10)
- Shapes (8 2d shapes)
-Free Road Tracing Clip Art with Bundle Purchase!
This resource also makes it easy to increase the expressive language while you interact with your students. While you are facilitating their exploration, ask questions about the letters, numbers or shapes you are working with.
Questions such as:
what sound does that letter make?
can we make that sound while we mold the lines?
how many corners does this shape have?
shapes with 3 corners are called..?
These types of hands on resources help create that solid connection in the brain as our young students discover the world around them and begin to make sense of it all.
--if you don't have miniature vehicles, don't worry I included links for some very cute and very nice pieces from Board Game Modder, an online store.
